Residential Glass
We stock and install the following MA residential glass which we can custom cut to your exact sizes: Clear glass * Mirror * Frosted Glass * Picture Frame Glass * Plate Glass * Laminated Safety Glass * Restoration Glass and More! Tinted Glass (Gray, Bronze, Blue or Green) and obscured glass is available by special order.
Patio Tables
Patio Tables are required to be either tempered glass or plastic. We get many calls for these, but if you have a cheap patio table set, it may not be worth it to you to replace the glass. If your table is a simple rectangle or circle, the cost is not that high (generally from $200 to $350). For ovals and rounded corners, we must make an exact pattern of the table and the cost is slightly higher.
Antique Glass or Restoration Glass for HIstoric Homes
We stock what is called "Circa 1900" restoration glass. This is a turn of the century machine made glass that has a few ripples and seeds or bubbles in it. It is, however, mostly clear. Really old houses (before 1880) have glass that is hand made and mouth blown. Because it is made in the historic way, it has lots of seeds, distortions and ripples. It is called "Polish Restoration" glass and is more expensive and available by special order. It is the only glass that will look right in a really old home.
Furniture Tops
Furniture Tops are a specialty of ours. Whether you are protecting a family heirloom desk or just need a glass top for a wicker table, we have the experience to make an exact pattern of your furniture and cut and flat polish the glass here in our shop.
Glass Tables and Shelves
Heavy Glass Tables, Desks and Shelves are also available in 3/8" 1/2" and 3/4" thicknesses by special order. They can be tempered for additional strength and safety where required. Call us to discuss your needs and requirements.
