The windshield is a critical component of your car's safety system. As a safety device, its role is to stay in place and keep occupants inside the vehicle during impact. It is essential to the proper inflation of the passenger side air bag and provides crucial crush resistance support for the roof, in case of rollover. If a windshield is not installed properly, it can come out during a collision and lead to serious injury.

Cape & Islands Glass provides the three critical components of a proper windshield installation: 1) we have the highest paid, best trained, certified senior installers; 2) we use only the best OEM quality glass; and 3) we use the best quality adhesives for safe 1-hour drive-away time.

If a glass shop displays a PPG PROSTARS® sign, they offer:

• Installers with a minimum of three years experience or National Glass Association (NGA) certification and who have been certified by adhesive manufacturers in the proper use of adhesives, including component compatibility and cure times.
• Glass made by OEM glass manufacturers.
• A "no excuses" national warranty.
• Convenient locations or mobile service.
• Personnel on-site during business hours to answer calls and meet with customers.
• 100% customer satisfaction.

PPG ProStars® shops participate in customer satisfaction surveys administered by PPG Industries, Inc. They must meet specified objectives, and will respond to resolve any issues.

Windshield Replacement warranty covers defects in the glass from the manufacturer and the workmanship of our installation and materials for as long as the customer owns the vehicle. (Warranty is not transferable). National warranty coverage against defects or leakage is provided through our PPG Prostars® certification.

Windshield Repairs are warranted against spreading for as long as the customer owns the vehicle. (Warranty is not transferable). Warranty is limited to credit for the amount of original repair when used towards the purchase of new windshield installed in the original vehicle. Any applicable deductible for new windshield shall be the owner's responsibility.

This limited warranty does not cover the following:

1. Rust or leakage caused by excessive rusting of the pinchweld area.
2. Leakage anywhere other area than glass replacement area (body seams, etc. are not covered).
3. Glass Breakage that is not a direct result of the installation.
4. In no event shall Cape & Islands Glass be held liable for incidental or consequential damages or any other damage or expense whatsoever other than the glass and installation thereof.

Vehicle Owner's Responsibility. To exercise your rights under this warranty, you must call the service center where work was originally performed Cape & Islands Glass. Cape & Islands Glass will not be responsible for repair or replacement charges made by any other company unless you are making an out of state claim under the PPG ProStars national warranty.

This Warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The remedies set forth in this Warranty shall be the exclusive remedies available to any person. Cape & Islands Glass, Inc. shall under no circumstances be liable to any person for incidental or consequential damages of any description. No person has any authority to alter this warranty.
